About Me
I am an Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Memphis, where I direct the Data System Research (DSR) Lab. My research focuses on scalable data systems for large, dynamic, and distributed data, with an emphasis on graph data management, query processing, federated data services, and data-intensive parallel computing.
I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2013. Before joining the University of Memphis, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Cheriton School of Computer Science, University of Waterloo. Additionally, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and HKUST in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

- Graph database systems Scalable storage, indexing, and query optimization for large graph data.
- Temporal and dynamic graphs Algorithms and systems for analyzing evolving graph structures and pathways.
- Federated data services Efficient and secure query processing across distributed, independently managed data sources.
- Data-intensive computing Parallel and distributed techniques for high-volume data management workloads.
